Visit and learn about YouthBuild Philly, a school that does work in Restorative and Educational Justice!

Haverford House Fellow TJ von Oehsen '18 will lead this Philly Fridays trip to YouthBuild Charter School, where you will learn about their program before sitting in on a social justice class alongside some of their students. YouthBuild does work in Restorative and Educational Justice. They are always looking for more volunteers! Travel expenses will be covered for students. Meet in the HC South Lot at 1pm.

This visit is intended to serve as an introduction to an organization that you could volunteer your time to while at Haverford. The visit itself is non-binding; just a chance to learn about the inspiring and effective work currently underway in and around the city and the issues our greater Philadelphia community faces.

Please RSVP by emailing tvonoehsen@haverford.edu.

Philly Fridays is a series of afternoon visits to organizations that are doing a multitude of justice and activism related work in the greater Philadelphia region. It is organized by TJ and supported by the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and the Marilou Allen Office of Service and Community Collaboration.
