Stokes 102

How do we welcome other people and talk about challenging issues across cultural and philosophical difference? What has been the impact of conditions on the US/Mexican border on the work of the Casa de los Amigos in Mexico City? Come hear from M. Antonio “Toño” López Galicia, the Executive Director of Casa de los Amigos, about their timely work, and what can Haverford students expect and learn from a summer internship at La Casa.

Dr. Marco Antonio López Galicia received his degree in Thanatology from the Mexican Institute of Psycho-oncology, specializing in topics such as death as a condition of existence, human spirituality, human rights of victims, migration, and refugees. He is the Executive Director of Casa de los Amigos, a Quaker center for peace and international understanding in México City.

Co-sponsored by the Quaker Affairs Office and the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship
