 On Sunday, February 10 at 3:00 p.m., the Concert Artist Series at Haverford College presents Astral Artist CHRISTINE LAMPREA, cello, with NAVAH PERLMAN, piano. Their program Scenes through the Lens of the Cello includes music by Beethoven, Schubert, Tortelier, Schumann, and Debussy.

 This concert will be held in Roberts Hall, Marshall Auditorium. Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students, $5 for children age 7 -17, and free to the tri-college community. Tickets can be purchased in advance through Brown Paper Tickets.

 Just named among the most recent Sphinx Medal of Excellence winners, Christine Lamprea has toured with the Sphinx Virtuosi across the U.S., in such venues as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Also the winner of the 2013 Schadt National String and 2013 Sphinx competitions, she has been soloist with the National Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, the Costa Rica National Symphony, and the Detroit, Houston, New Jersey, and San Antonio symphonies, among others. This season, she appears as soloist with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. A Gluck Community Service Fellow at The Juilliard School and recipient of a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans, she recently received a Sphinx MPower Artist Grant, and holds a Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory.
