On Saturday, April 16 at 4 PM, the Chamber Singers of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges, Thomas Lloyd, director, together with the Lincoln University Choir, Edryn Coleman, director, will perform RACE MATTERS – SINGING ACROSS THE COLOR LINE. This performance will be preceded by a 2:00 panel discussion on racial justice issues, and will be followed by a reception at 5 PM.

These events will be held at the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral at 38th Street between Market and Chestnut in Philadelphia, PA.

The Panel Discussion on racial justice issues at 2 PM will include questions from the student singers and the audience convened by the Very Rev. Judith Sullivan, Dean, Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral and the Rev. Dr. Chaz Howard, Chaplain, University of Pennsylvania, with distinguished panelists:

·      Rev. Marshall Mitchell, Pastor, Salem Baptist Church, Jenkintown

·      Kameelah Mu’Min Rashad, Muslim Chaplain at the University of Pennsylvania

·      Dr. Terrance Wiley, Asst. Prof. of Religion, Haverford College

·      Rev. Dr. Katie Day, Lutheran Theological Seminary; Chair, Heeding God’s Call

·      Cecily Harwitt, Director of Organizing, POWER
