Please join us this upcoming Monday, September 17th at 4:30 @ the Bryn Mawr room in the DC for a conversation with Gabriel (Miranda) Pérez Setright about the recent popular uprisings in NicaraguaGabriel Yarince Perez Setright, is an activist, artist, writer and historian from Nicaragua. They studied Philosphy and Psychology at Warren Wilson College in Asheville North Carolina. Gabriel, sometimes known Miranda, co-runs a community cultural center called La Rizoma in Managua, Nicaragua, which functioned as a feminist safe space for resting and organizing. Gabriel's artistic and activist work focuses on the critiquing Neoliberalism while problematizing the revolutionary history of Nicaragua. Gabriel is currently working in their Masters in Critical Theory and is finding a new future in the United States.
